(OPEN-POLLINATED) HEIRLOOM. 60-90 days. Short day. Medium size, pearl onion. early maturing. Flesh is waxy white, coarse with a mild flavor. Bulbs are flat 2 ½-3 ½” in diameter with a thin white scale. Very adapted to southern US, especially TX but is grown on the West Coast with excellent results. Great for stews, soups and stir-fries. Caramelizes to perfection! Does NOT store well. Use fresh for bunching or pearl onions for pickling, hors d’oeuvres or cocktails. Resistant: Pink Root Rot. Approximately 9,000 seeds per ounce or 144,000 seeds per pound
